The Coca-Cola Foundation has awarded grants to the Africa Clean Up Initiative, pioneers of the famous Recycles Pay and Clean-Up Naija project. This is in line with Coca-Cola’s commitment to fostering a World Without Waste, as these grants are aimed at bolstering efforts to reduce waste created by food and beverage packaging waste and other non-biodegradable substances.
Being committed to the work we do, the African Cleanup Initiative today went to ISRINA schools to conduct its first pickup exercise of Recyclables. Stepping into the compound where the school was sited one would think it was a festival of plastics as parents trooped out en masse with their recyclables ranging from PET [plastics], Sachets, cans and tins.
It was a cold and rainy day as the team from the African Cleanup Initiative took the RecyclesPay Educational Project to the Makoko Kingdom Royalty Academy.
